Samuel & Sons is the world’s leading designer of trim. The goal was for S&S to stop being the industry’s “best kept secret” for quality trimmings by increasing brand exposure and industry awareness. Fast forward 15 years and Samuel & Sons IS trim.

Objective

Assist Samuel & Sons in moving beyond its status as the industry’s “best kept secret” for quality trimmings by increasing brand exposure and industry awareness. 

Plan

We began by creating brand messaging and then introducing Samuel & Sons to the media. To ensure a steady stream of press coverage, we coordinated deskside meetings, promoted new collections, developed creative story pitches, and helped editors envision new ways to use passementerie in their stories and photoshoots.  We also conceptualized and launched programming to educate editors about the history, evolution and applications of passementerie and created partnerships with designers for special project exposure including showhouses and resource mentions.

Results

  • Increased product placements by 70% within the first year of starting the account
  • Earned $1.5 million+ in advertising equivalency within the first two years and continuously met that mark or better year over year
  • Secured placements in every top shelter, trade and regional publication during our fifteen year tenure as their agency
  • Helped create collection launch process for sales and marketing team and created correlated promotional programming
  • Since beginning our partnership in 2008, Samuel & Sons has expanded from one to six showrooms globally, increased sales volume exponentially and become the number one luxury trim resource for editors and trade professionals
